With many of their fans cheering from the stands at the GelreDome in Arnhem, FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2022 co-hosts Poland felt at home in the Netherlands as they defeated Croatia in the tournament’s opening match on Friday. Despite the opponents’ valiant effort to produce the first surprise of the tournament, the Poles battled it out for a 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-15) victory.
