The two finalists in the Italian men’s SuperLega Credem Banca may emerge as soon as this Wednesday and Thursday when the third-leg matches of the best-of-five playoffs unfold. Both regular season winners Itas Trentino Trento and defending champions Sir Susa Vim Perugia are enjoying 2-0 leads against their opponents - Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza and Cucine Lube Civitanova, respectively – and will play hosts in the next games this week. This week’s program also offers the third leg of the fifth place playoffs on Friday and Saturday.

“It will be another final at our home. We have to stay in the game and stick to the result. We know that we are not perfect and that we can lose a set or even two, but the important thing is to win the match. We have to think day by day, we have to be ready, but in my opinion ours is a team that is always ready.” Agustin Loser, middle blocker of Sir Susa Vim Perugia
“Despite our good game at home and our ability to raise the level, Sir is 2-0 ahead in the series. But our opponents also played a good match. At this stage of the season, details make the difference. In the last match, the outcome of the tiebreak was tilted by Oleh Plotnytskyi's three aces at the start. The third leg represents the last chance to have our say in the series and we don't want to let it slip away. We have nothing to lose and we will take to the court with all our might. It has been a good season so far, but we don't feel satisfied and we will fight until the end!” Giovanni Gargiulo, middle blocker of Cucine Lube Civitanova
“Being ahead in the series does not mean being the favorite in game three. On the contrary, the balance of the first two challenges shows how very few details made the difference within a single match and that therefore it will be necessary to focus on those details in view of Thursday's match. I therefore expect an even more intense match than the previous ones, in which playing our best volleyball will always remain our only goal. Focusing on constantly doing useful things to resolve individual situations will undoubtedly be the best approach we can have.” Fabio Soli, head coach of Itas Trentino Trento
“Game two was an exhausting match in every sense, physically and mentally. We have to be better and do things better in certain situations, if we want to continue dreaming. We have to realize that many things can be done better. When we get into rhythm, we play great volleyball, but this level must be kept as constant as possible. Now the road to the final is all uphill, but we have the last call. We will show up in Trento with a knife between our teeth. Everything is still possible.” Gianluca Galassi, middle blocker of Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza
