The Atlanta Vibe did their homework, took advantage of a pair of home matches this week to secure two more victories in the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation season, and climbed up to second place in the standings.

Undefeated in their last eight matches in the American League, the Vibe are now the main threat to league leaders and defending champions Omaha Supernovas, who also won twice in the 12th week of the regular season.

The Vibe’s successful home stretch started on Friday, when the team welcomed the San Diego Mojo at the Georgia State Convocation Center with a season-best crowd of 5,539 and benefited from 22 points (20 kills, two blocks) scored by star outside hitter Leah Edmond to prevail in four sets (26-28, 25-20, 25-21, 26-24).

On Sunday, the team met the Columbus Fury for the second time in a week, now in front of its home fans, and displayed great consistency to walk away with a solid three-set (25-17, 25-18, 25-16) victory. This time, middle blocker McKenna Vicini led the team’s offense with 13 points (ten kills, two blocks, one ace), two more than Edmond and opposite Aiko Jones.

With the results, the Vibe improved their campaign to 14 wins and eight losses and also saw the Orlando Valkyries, who were in second place, drop their only match of the week to the Indy Ignite 3-2 (25-21, 20-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11) on Sunday. Now, both teams have 12 wins and eight losses, with the side from Indiana appearing in third place.

Supernovas go undefeated

The Omaha Supernovas also went undefeated in the 12th week of the Pro Volleyball Federation, winning a pair of home matches at the CHI Health Center – they swept (25-23, 25-14, 25-19) the Vegas Thrill on Friday and topped the Grand Rapids Rise 3-1 (25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 25-22) on Sunday.

Outside hitters Brooke Nuneviller, who produced 28 points across both matches, and Reagan Cooper, who registered 27, had big roles in the team’s successful week.

The Pro Volleyball Federation had two more matches held this week, with the Rise beating the Fury 3-2 (22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 15-13) on Friday and the Mojo downing the Thrill 3-1 (26-24, 24-26, 25-17, 25-17) on Sunday.

After 12 weeks of action, the Supernovas (14-5) continue in first place, followed by the Vibe (14-8), the Ignite (12-8), the Valkyries (12-8), the Thrill (8-11), the Rise (8-12), the Mojo (7-13) and the Fury (5-15).

Next week, only three matches will be held, all of them on Saturday.
