Going through difficult moments in the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation season, the San Diego Mojo and the Grand Rapids Rise will meet in the eighth week of the regular season looking to put an end to their winless streaks.

The teams will meet on Thursday, at 19:05 local time (3:05 GMT, Friday), at the Viejas Arena, in San Diego, in one of the seven matches set to take place until Sunday in the American League.

The Mojo lost their last six matches in the Pro Volleyball Federation season, having last triumphed on January 24, and their bad run of form took them to the bottom of the standings, with three wins and eight losses.

Against the Rise, the team from California will count on outside hitter Kendra Dahlke, their leading scorer with 146 points, Puerto Rican libero Shara Venegas, who ranks fourth in the league in digs with 146, and Korean setter DaYeong Lee, sixth in assists with 393, to end their winless streak.

The Rise were on the losing side of each of their last four matches and last triumphed exactly against the Mojo, when the teams met in Michigan on February 2. Their most recent results took the team to sixth place, with four wins and seven losses.

Some of the team’s weapons for Thursday’s encounter in California will be middle blocker Ali Bastianelli, the league’s second-best blocker with 33 stops, outside hitter Carli Snyder, who’s third in aces with 14, and setter August Raskie, fourth in assists with 411.

The two teams will play for a second time over the weekend, with the Mojo hosting the Columbus Fury (4-8) on Saturday, at 18:05 local time (2:05 GMT, Sunday), and the Rise visiting the Vegas Thrill (7-4) on Sunday, at 15:00 local time (23:00 GMT).

Supernovas and Valkyries play for first place

The eighth week of the Pro Volleyball Federation will start with a big match, reuniting first-placed Omaha Supernovas (8-3) and second-placed Orlando Valkyries (8-4) on Thursday, at 19:00 local time (1:00 GMT, Friday), in Nebraska. On the same date and time, the Indy Ignite (6-5) will host the Thrill in Indiana.

The schedule will continue over the weekend, with the Valkyries returning home to face the Atlanta Vibe (6-7) on Saturday, at 19:00 local time (00:00 GMT, Sunday), and the Supernovas welcoming the Ignite on Sunday, at 15:00 local time (21:00 GMT).
