A list of 25 events of the Futures category have already been added to the 2025 Beach Pro Tour calendar, promising an exciting season ahead for the striving beach volleyball athletes across the world.
The Beach Pro Tour season will get underway on 6 March with a Futures event in Mount Maunganui in New Zealand. It will be the third year in a row this Pacific beach welcomes the Tour. In late March, Coolangatta in Australia will hold a Futures stop, as it did in the previous three seasons of the Beach Pro Tour.
In April, the Beach Pro Tour will return to Thailand for a Futures tournament in Songkla. On the last day of the month, Futures action will get underway in Europe with the first Beach Pro Tour event in the Spanish Mediterranean city of Valencia.
Two single-gender tournaments will follow in the Spanish capital Madrid in May. Europe will host three more events in May. Italy’s Adriatic resort Cervia will welcome a Futures stop for the fourth year in a row. A Futures tournament will take place in Spiez, Switzerland for the third straight year. Then, Battipaglia in southern Italy will organize its second Beach Pro Tour event. Also during that month, two Futures events will take place in Asia – first in Nuvali, Philippines in early May, and then, in Wuhan Qingshan, China in the second half of the month.
Qingdao and Qidong in China will be the Asian stops on the Futures calendar for June, while Europe offers a rich programme of Futures tournaments, starting with three simultaneous ones during the first full week of the month – in Sveti Vlas, Bulgaria, in Prague, Czechia and a men’s event in Krakow, Poland. The following week, Krakow will organize a women’s tournament, while the Swedish city of Malmo welcomes the Beach Pro Tour to the northern European country for the first time. Three events in Europe will run during the third week of June - in Ios, Greece, in Messina, Italy, and a men’s tournament in Geneva, Switzerland. The Swiss venue will be busy the following week as well with its first women’s tournament.
At this point, three Futures events have been registered for the second half of the year – in Busan Suyeong-gu, Korea and in Bujumbura, Burundi – both in August, and in Rarotonga, Cook Islands in mid-October.
As always, the Futures schedule is very extensive and dynamic, so many more events of this category are expected to be added to the calendar later on.
